BUSINESS DESCRIPTION
· We are manufacturers and retailers of high quality furniture, household items and gifts, made from indigenous woods such as teak, rosewood, and mahogany, which is sometimes combined with steelwork. We currently have 3 retail outlets in the Livingstone area, and one in Lusaka, and export on a small scale.
LOCATION.
Our workshop is situated in the centre of Livingstone’s industrial area in Zambia
JOB DESCRIPTION
· We require a trained cabinetmaker/workshop production manager with at least 10 year’s experience IN THE WOODWORKING/CABINETMAKING/PRODUCTION FIELD, to assist us in all aspects of managing production and quality in a workshop of 80 wood and metalwork staff..
· Machine shop experience in mortising , sawing, thicknessing and planning, sanding ,laminating, clamping, jointing methods/cabinet-making general
· Experience with computer drawing programmes such as Turbocad or Autocad relevant to furniture production will be a distinct advantage.
RENUMERATION
Negotiable according to qualification and experience.

Must have thorough knowledge of woodworking machinery which includes:
• spindle moulders,
• circular, crosscut and rip saws,
• radial arm saws,
• band saws,
• jointers,
• planers,
• shapers,
• lathes,
• sanding machines,
• boring and mortising machines,
• routers, and
• tenoning machines.
